  Contribute to SOAR Store

The good news?  The SOAR Store has been a success this year beyond our wildest dreams!  Our kids are behaving like model Falcons, earning SOAR bucks and redeeming them for goodies and prizes at a rate far beyond that for which we have planned. What does this mean? We have supassed our budget allocation and are hoping YOU can help out by donating one or more of these items to the SOAR Store.

Please review the list of needed items, all available at SAMs, and let us know how you can help.  You can donate EITHER by buying items yourself OR by donating cash for us to buy them.  Once you Sign Up, I will contact you to arrange to collect the cash and/or item(s).

Thanks SOOO MUCH in advance for all you do!

Liz Cox, SOAR@FrankfordPTA.org

Frankford Middle School PTA President

Dear Frankford Families,
The 2016-2017 school year is in full swing. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Frankford Middle School (FMS) is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization (Tax ID # 90-0099543) that advocates for all children. With your tax-free contribution, our goal is to make the remainder of the academic year an amazing one for students and hard-working educators.
FMS is one of 13 middle schools in the Plano Independent School District (PISD). The gamut of our students’ accomplishments has been recognized in the areas of STAAR testing, public speaking, orchestra and science fair – at local and state levels. Our “family” is comprised of 1129 students, more than three dozen educators, countless support staff and a host of parents who willingly give of themselves. This dedication has also garnered additional funding under Title I status. Despite these accolades, the necessity for additional financial resources exists.

Our immediate request is for cash donations, gift cards, products and/or services that can be used towards a raffle celebrating Student Appreciation Week in November. Your philanthropy will also go towards some of the following areas:

  • An on-site food pantry and hygiene drive that assists students and their families in need
  • A subsidy for back to school supplies and athletic gear for students
  • Teacher Appreciation Week (May)
For those who enjoy sharing the gift of knowledge or time, consider:
  • Frankford Mentoring Program
  • Guest speakers for Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) classes
In advance, we are grateful for your generosity. As such, we will recognize your establishment on our social media, including Facebook. We will continue to strive towards the ideal of the PTA Silver Level Recognition Award: engage a broad audience in the future of our youth. Donations can be delivered to the school or picked up by a PTA member. GO FALCONS!!!!

PTA Membership

Please join our PTA and support the many programs at Frankford. Membership provides immediate access to the online directory, and receipt of our e-mail newsletter, the Frankford Flash. The Flash provides communication about upcoming events and programs at Frankford.

At Frankford, we do not plan to implement any additional fundraisers. Instead, we ask for donations, which are 100% tax deductible. A recommended donation of $50 per child allows us to provide every child with agenda, supports the in-school and family programs, classroom enhancements, student incentives and rewards, teacher and staff appreciation, and much, much more. Unlike traditional fundraisers, 100% of your contribution goes to your PTA for exclusive use at Frankford. Please donate!

We appreciate your helping hands to staff our events and programs. Please join us! You can select specific events or become a "Happy to Help" Volunteer and we will contact you periodically as events are planned. Students needing hours for volunteer organizations are welcome and appreciated!  Volunteering is a great way to be involved at your child's school.

 PE Classes & Athletics

Students taking P.E. are required to wear a dress code compliant PE uniform.  It is suggested you have more than one set in case one gets lost, or doesn't come home for a while to visit the washing machine.

Seventh and eighth grade students enrolled in athletics are required to wear Frankford Athletics practice wear. Football especially is hot and sweaty, so consider purchasing more than one set.

No student will be allowed to participate in athletics (including practices and tryouts) without completing all athletic forms and turning in your health physical exam forms.

All forms can be located and completed online at here.

The medical form can be found at: UIL Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form
