FMS Class of 2024 8th Grade Celebration is May 10!

Calling all 8th Grade families! Get ready for a great day of fun with friends on Friday, May 10 during the FMS Class of 2024 8th Grade Celebration! During the Celebration, our 8th Grade students will get to enjoy a fun day at school with plenty of music, games, and so much more, including a special pizza lunch. It’s going to be a fantastic day celebrating our 8th Graders!

 

Watch for more information in the coming weeks, including a chaperone volunteer signup.

 

Want to make this day extra special? Our 8th Grade Celebration is funded mostly through monetary and gift donations, and we would love to have your help! Let’s support our Falcon Super-STAARs during this year’s STAAR testing! FMS students will participate in STAAR testing in April and May.

FMS PTA Senior Scholarship Opportunity!

Frankford Middle School PTA is proud to present the Frankford PTA Shelly Stevenson 2024 Scholarship! 

 

Our PTA will award one (1) $500 scholarship to a former Frankford Middle School student who attended the school for a minimum of (1) full year, which MUST have included at least one full semester of 8th grade.  Applicants must complete an application, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and write a 500 - 1,500 word essay to be considered.

FMS Staff Snack Drive Open March 17-April 30!

Our FMS teachers and staff have been working hard this year—let’s show them how much we appreciate all they do by providing some snacks and drinks for their lounge!  Now through the end of April, you can donate snacks to help our staff members refuel and recharge for the last 9 weeks of the year.

 

How do I help? We’ve made it super easy to donate! Just visit the FMS Staff Snack Drive Amazon wish list, add items to your cart, and start the checkout process. Amazon will ship your items directly to FMS.

Plano West 24-25 Physical Day is May 8!

On Wednesday, May 8, Plano West is hosting its annual Physical Day for all West Cluster athletes from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Plano West SAC. Each physical is just $20, and all students must pre-register before arriving at Plano West.

 

Students participating in Plano ISD activities are REQUIRED to have a yearly physical prior to participation in ANY tryouts, practices or games/competitions for PISD athletics. Physicals must be completed on or after April 1, 2024 for participation in the 2024-2025 school year. Physicals must be completed on the official UIL physical form.

Get Your FMS Athletic Gear Here!

Make sure your student has their Frankford athletic wear ready to go! All 7th and 8th Graders participating in Frankford Athletics, as well as 6th Graders registered for Pre-Athletics, can purchase their 2023-2024 athletic wear here. 

All student athletes must wear FMS practice wear during the athletic class period. Practice wear includes a gray t-shirt and shorts. 
 
General athletics gear is available for purchase at any time throughout the year. Sport-specific items will be for sale after the parent meeting for each sport.

Donate Your Gently Used Items to the World Wear Bin!

Need a quick and easy place to donate your unused items? Bring them to the blue World Wear bin in the FMS visitor parking lot!

You can donate gently used shoes, clothing, purses, belts, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys, stuffed animals, and even pots and pans. Plus, for every pound you bring to the blue bin, Frankford PTA receives a $0.15 donation!
